A number of churches in the area support a christian schools worker. Along with voluntary assistance they work within the schools taking some classes and christian clubs encouraging children to ask questions and find out the answers. | |

Fairtrade |
The Fairtrade Foundation was established in 1992 by CAFOD, Christian Aid, New Consumer, Oxfam, Traidcraft and the World Development Movement. Fairtrade standards are set for a range of commodities from the developing world including tea, sugar, cocoa, fresh fruits. The standards include a Fairtrade price which covers the cost of production and a premium which is invested in the local community. | |

OAKWOOD YOUTH CHALLENGE is a Christian charity
dedicated to the physical, social and spiritual development of young people.
The centre is on the south east side of Wokingham. It provides facilities
& instruction for outdoor activities, primarily aiming to serve local
youth aged between 8 to 18 through links with: Local schools, Churches,
Youth Groups, District council(s) - oakwoodyouth.co.uk
All activities are run by qualified A+ (Adventure Plus) staff, & all sessions (excluding water sports) can be run on-site. All the necessary equipment is provided for all activities, details of specific requirements per session will be discussed when booked. En-suite dorms for 60 are currently under construction, and should be completed by spring 2004, so book early... |
