CTW Activities

CTW organise a number of activities in which the various churches participate. The key to all of these events is to bring the whole church family together to serve our Lord Jesus Christ and to witness to the community in Wokingham. During 2004 a number of joint services were held. One was led by Gerald Coates, one of the leaders of the Pioneer Group of churches and another by Stephen Cottrell, who is the Bishop of Reading. In 2005 we will be having our first joint service which will by led by Steve Chalke, His is a well known television presenter and international speaker. He heads up the Oasis Trust and Faithworks. Every Easter we hold a United Service of witness in the Market Place in Wokingham led by a number of churches.

The Big Idea is the latest in the list of activities but that is a big story with a web site of its own.

A few years ago CTW were involved in a larger community project which saw the building of accommodation for young homeless people in Wokingham, This project called CARITAS is still ongoing meeting some of the ongoing needs. CARITAS

Many of the Churches activities are based on outreach and helping folks to find a faith in our Lord. Alpha, a course aimed at trying to answer peoples questions on the Christian faith was developed; by Holy Trinity in Brompton, London. A number of Churches in the area regularly run Alpha courses.

For fully details of what is done within the Churches it is best to look at their web sites, which many of them have.
